Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Headquarters
A groundbreaking ceremony is held in College Park on the northwest side of Indianapolis, where construction of the the Fraternity's new headquarters soon begins. The Fraternity's administrative Central Office will soon be called Headquarters.

Mary Kay Place, Actor, Writer, and Director
Mary Kay Place, Gamma Tau/Tulsa, born.

Place becomes an Emmy Award winning television actor (Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman) and appears in dozens of films (including The Big Chill). She is a talented writer, singer, songwriter, and director.

Vera Kelsey, Journalist
Vera Kelsey initiated Alpha Pi/North Dakota.

Kelsey, an author and journalist, is a feature writer for the North China Daily News. In the early 1920s, she authors the first industrial survey of central China ever conducted.

Alpha Pi Chapter is established at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Anna Yeomans Reed, Vocational Educator
Anna Yeomans Reed, Psi/Wisconsin, born.

Reed, a vocational educator, becomes a professor of Personnel Management at New York University. Following her retirement from NYU, she also lectured at Cornell University.
