Kappa Alpha Theta is offering an exciting leadership program to alumnae in cities throughout North America! StrengthsQuest allows you to discover your strengths and how to use those talents to achieve academic, career, and personal success. What is StrengthsQuest?
StrengthsQuest is a 30-minute online assessment that discovers your top given talent themes. A professional facilitator will then guide you through a series of discussions and activities that will illuminate the philosophy behind strengths and provide a better understanding of your talents and how to use those talents and strengths to achieve personal and professional success. How does this program work?
If a StrengthsQuest event is in your city, an email will be sent out with information of the event including location, date and time. It will also provide a link to register online. Once the form is submitted, you will be sent an email with information on how to take the assessment. All attendees will take the assessment before attending the facilitation. At the event, a facilitator will provide a better understanding of the philosophy of StrengthsQuest and how to use your talents to achieve success in all aspects of your life. How much does it cost?
The cost to attend is free for all dues-paying alumnae or Life Loyal members, thanks to the support of Theta headquarters alumnae engagement department and Theta Foundation. If you are not a dues-paying or Life Loyal member, the cost is $25.What cities will StrengthsQuest be in this year?
A list of all cities is located in the box on the right; that list will be updated when new locations are determined. What are the benefits of attending?
As an attendee, you can:
- Meet and network with other Thetas in the area
- Identify your strengths and how to use them in your personal and professional life
- Learn how to articulate your strengths for job interviews and volunteer positions
- Help build relationships by understanding others strengths and how they work with yours
"Knowing how to articulate what I am naturally good at (my strengths) will help me seek out work and volunteer projects that play to my strengths and explain to others why I am (or am not) the person best suited to a particular role."
"Job interviews—it gave me a perspective on how to answer some tough questions utilizing my strengths."
"I will be able to apply my strengths to reach personal and professional goals."
"It was a wonderful opportunity that will help me in my work life, in my home life, and in my personal relationships. By far one of the best personal development programs I have been through."
"The theme that I took away most was to heighten your strengths and leave your 'weaknesses' alone. I definitely plan to implement this mentality in my career and goals."
"Insightful, educational and empowering!"
