Welcome to Our Chapter!

Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter members (and one Theta-in-training) assist at CommU.N.I.T.Y. Day, sponsored by Child Advocates in Indianapolis.

I am a Theta!

It doesn't matter where you were initiated or when. The common bonds of sisterhood unite us all. We weren't just Thetas in college, we are still Thetas and will always be Thetas.

We are more than 80 members of the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter who call the circle city home.

  • We live and work in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville, Brownsburg, Greenwood, Plainfield and everywhere in between.
  • We are teachers, lawyers, consultants, directors and professionals of all sorts.
  • We are up & comers, over achievers and retirees.
  • We are daughters, moms and grandmas.
  • We come from as far away as Alpha Nu Chapter at the University of Montana to Gamma chapter, right here in Indianapolis. We are Thetas.
  • We have members who have been involved with the chapter for more than 30 years to recent graduates who are just embarking on their life journeys. Chapter activities range from casual get togethers for younger alumnae to recognition events for women celebrating 50 years (that's right, 50 years) as members of KAΘ.
Check out all the activities listed on our Calendar of Events for the year. We're sure you'll see something that appeals to you!

Waves and Tides of being a Lifetime Theta...

As a Theta, you took a pledge to be a lifelong member of the fraternity. While our lives go through phases so does our involvement in Theta. What can you give, and what will you see in return?

A lot….

If you have a greater time availability consider one of the following:

  • Honing your leadership skills by serving on the alumnae chapter board
  • Organizing a local alumna event or hosting a group at your home
  • Advising college women by serving on an Indiana college chapter advisory board
  • Serving on a facility corporation board
  • Make a difference in young lives by volunteering for our our philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates

A little...

We do have those periods of life where we seem to never slow down, but there is still a way to be involved with Theta. Consider one of the following:

  • Pay your international & alumnae chapter dues
  • Donate to the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation - even the smallest amount will make a difference
  • Give of your time for a small service project through the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter
  • Bake cookies for the Gamma Chapter during recruitment or finals week
  • Volunteer an hour or two at KAΘ Headquarters right here in Indianapolis
  • Writing a letter of recommendation for recruitment
As a lifetime Theta please take just a minute to either fill out your membership form or contact KAΘ Headquarters .
