The first semester of college is a time full of excitement and change, the perfect opportunity to make new friends and try new things. During the first few months of their Drake experience, Sorority Recruitment gives women a chance to meet the members of all five chapters and find their place in an everlasting sisterhood. Kappa Alpha Theta provides new members with a “home away from home” and a group of sisters who are always supportive and there for one another in good and bad times. We strive to help each other reach our goals and live out our highest ideals.
Recruitment is an opportunity for the women of Kappa Alpha Theta and potential new members to get to know each other, providing a chance to create the bond that grows into sisterhood. It is a time where we can demonstrate
our four pillars of Sisterhood, Service, Scholarship, and Social. We hope to meet potential new members who share these ideals with us. Additionally, Formal Recruitment allows women to tour our beautiful house, discover the many benefits of becoming a Theta, and learn more about our national philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Please consider participating in Recruitment this Fall Semester. Formal Recruitment will take place September 2-5, 2011. The experience is incredible, and being a part of a Greek sisterhood can be the icing atop the cake of a great Drake experience. On behalf of the women of Beta Kappa chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, we hope to see you in September!
Sincerely,
Brooke Feehrer and Marissa Fernholz
Vice President of Membership & Recruitment Chair
