At EKU, Thetas are proud to give their time and efforts to raising money and awareness for CASA and the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. Theta's signature philanthropy event in the spring is Sink or Swim. Sink or Swim is an event where the fraternities participate in a variety of pool games and then compete in a synchronized swimming routine. This help us make numerous connections on campus making tons of friends while raising thousands of dollars for CASA and the Foundation.  This coming Fall we will be introducing a brand new philanthropy event that we are in the process of planning and are very excited about.

Theta's take part in other service opportunities on campus and in the Richmond community such as: EKU Freshmen Move-In, Richmond Cityfest, Model Lab School Fall Festival, EKU Blood Drive, Lexington & Richmond's race for the Cure among other

The Thetas at EKU are known to complete a total of 1,295 volunteer hours per year. There goal is to spread the widest influence for good.

In the summer of 2010, Kappa Alpha Theta became the first ever greek-letter organization to hold a service trip. Nineteen Thetas from across the United States and Canada met in Santa Fe, New Mexico to work together to spread the widest influence for good. These young women worked with Girls Inc., a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to inspire young women to be strong, smart, and bold. Thetas completed a number of projects that included building a gate, an irrigation system, and a number of wooden benches. These Thetas left the young girls at Girls Inc. inspired and motivated. In addition, Kappa Alpha Theta donated over 800 books to Girls Inc. as well as another 800 books to various locations in the Santa Fe area which included the local CASA chapter. A member of the DY Chapter was one of these amazing women that helped to spread the widest influence for good!
