Service

Delta Upsilon's Teeter-a-Thon
Our chapter partakes in numerous service events throughout the academic year.  This ranges from individual and small group activities to activities involving the entire chapter.

During the fall semester, we host a 5k run called Bison Breakaway.  This takes place on the morning of NDSU's homecoming and is meant to raise money for our philanthropy, CASA.

This past spring we had our second annual Queso for CASA Nacho Feed, which was attended by over 500 people.  Over $2,500 was raised for CASA!  In addition to this, we had a live DJ as well as a jalapeño eating contest.

Some of the other ways we give back to the community include helping Delta Upsilon with their Teeter-a-thon (for their philanthropy, Boys & Girls Club), The Big Event at NDSU, and volunteering at Bethany Homes, Prairie Public Broadcasting, YWCA, Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and many other local organizations.

We are also proud to have won the Bison Service Challenge for both of the two years since it was established.  Bison Service Challenge is mini competition between all of the Greeks at NDSU for the highest amount of service hours during the academic year.

During the Spring 2012 semester, we completed 2515 hours of service and donated $6115!
