Kappa Alpha Theta expects each member to achieve high scholarship and to develop to the fullest her intellectual, cultural, and social potential. Each chapter is required to set a definite scholarship average which members must maintain in order to retain the social privileges of active membership.
In addition, each chapter is expected to maintain an average above the All-Sorority Average (ASA) on its campus, and chapter bylaws shall establish specific grade requirements for officers.
Nationally, Kappa Alpha Theta expects each member to achieve high scholarship and to develop to the fullest her intellectual, cultural, and social potential. Here at Zeta Xi, we too believe in the importance of scholarship. Scholarship is, in fact, one of the most important defining characteristics of a Theta. Each week we have scholarship modules at chapter meetings to reinforce the idea of scholarship. The topics of these modules may include, how to apply for Theta Scholarships, how to write a resume, or even to learn about opportunities for studying abroad. As well as learning from the modules, each semester we update a Theta Directory that recognizes all of the classes our chapter members are currently enrolled in to help us in forming study groups for certain classes. With help from our resources, the average GPA of our chapter is a 3.489!
