A beautiful wedding celebration 11.11.11.
[McKenzie, Me, Lauren, Tanna, Brandi, Whitney, Katherine, Jessie]
It's my favorite time of year which can only mean one thing...

Starbucks Christmas cups are out! As silly as it may sound, to me this momentous shift in d├ęcor symbolizes the holiday season's arrival. First with Theta elections, followed closely with Thanksgiving and a quick turn-around to Christmas and finally ringing in the New Year!

This being my first holiday season not being an active member and living in the Theta house, I miss the beautiful tinsel lining the main stairs, the multiple Christmas trees decorated to a T, and most of all the hustle and bustle of all my Theta sisters' pre-final exams.

Already this season I have been privileged to attend all types of sisterhood events like painting pottery, Hocus Pocus watch parties and sisterhood skating. I lucked out and even arrived in time for a Thanksgiving meal!!! (The sweet potato casserole was DELICIOUS) But one of the most exciting things of all is the sisterhood event that will happen later this week... Breaking Dawn premiere! I feel so blessed to be surrounded by sister throughout this season. Each chapter feels more and more like home as I get to experience their traditional holiday festivities!

During this holiday season many of my Theta sisters will be tying the knot, giving us all a reason to reunite at exciting venues and in pretty dresses! On 11.11.11 my new member sister Tanna Stowers became Tanna Zack at a gorgeous wedding in Pampa, TX. And later this season, one of my best friends and new member sister Katherine Wilson will become Katherine Smith in the great state of Oklahoma!

Weddings, holiday meals and sisterhood socials all make me so thankful to be a part of an organization much bigger than myself. This holiday season I am reminded that Kappa Alpha Theta truly is for a lifetime!

'Tis the season to be a Theta! How are you celebrating this holiday season as a Theta?
