Theta for a Lifetime is the name of the Fraternity's member orientation program. This name was selected because
Theta is a lifetime commitment, and the privileges of membership last throughout a member's life. It is important that
both members and new members understand the aims of the Fraternity – intellectually, the highest scholarship; socially,
the widest influence for good; and morally, the standard of love. Membership in Theta begins as a new member; however, it
continues beyond college. Theta for a Lifetime also means a lifetime of sisterhood, dozens of lasting friendships, and
hundreds of opportunities for members to benefit themselves, college chapters, and their communities.

New members are eligible for initiation once they complete the member orientation program, fulfill financial requirements
to the chapter, and sign the loyalty pledge. During orientation, new members are responsible for attending new member
meetings and chapter meetings.
