Anne Hodges-Copple was elected Bishop Suffragan by the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina. She is the sixth Bishop Suffragan of North Carolina, and the first woman who will now serve as bishop in all of Province IV (the Southeast). She will be ordained a bishop on June 15 at Duke Chapel in Durham, NC.
Anne has served as the campus ministry chaplain at Duke University and most recently as rector at St. Luke Episcopal Church in Durham. She graduated from Duke with a bachelor's degree in Public Policy and History, earned a master's degree from Pacific School of Religion (Berkeley, CA), and was ordained a priest in 1988.
