Dallas CASA Paid Summer Internships

Sponsored by Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta
Dallas CASA: Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is an organization of volunteers who are voices in court for abused and neglected children. The oldest and largest CASA program in the state of Texas, Dallas CASA is a charter member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association and an active member of Texas CASA. We have been in operation since 1979. In 2017, more than 1,300 CASA volunteer advocates served as powerful voices in court for more than 3,100 abused and neglected children. Today, Dallas CASA serves 3 out of 4 children in protective care in Dallas County.

2018 Parade of Playhouses: Parade of Playhouses is a fun event benefiting Dallas CASA. From June 29 – July 15, 2018, NorthPark Center, the premier shopping destination in Dallas, is home to more than a dozen beyond imagination playhouses designed and constructed by local builders, artists and craftsmen. Each year we team up with local volunteer groups and sponsors to raise awareness and funds for Dallas CASA and the children we serve. Raffle tickets are sold on-line and at ticket locations throughout NorthPark for 17 days, giving children hope for a dream-making playhouse, while providing the hope for a safe and permanent home for abused and neglected children. All proceeds go toward providing more CASA volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected Dallas County children.
