There's still time for your chapter to nominate a faculty member from your academic community for our inaugural launch of the Kappa Alpha Theta 10 Outstanding Faculty Members program. Chief administration officers have all received information on this program, which is part of Golden Kite criteria, and are preparing to send their nominations via the Officer Portal by the April 1 deadline.

This is a chance to select a single nominee from your campus, and you have an opportunity to contribute! Do you have a favorite mathematics professor who goes above and beyond assigning complicated problem sets and formulas? Maybe there is a poetry professor on your campus whose insight and passion has made you want to become a writer yourself. Encourage a dialogue in your chapter about outstanding faculty members who inspire students, who create unmatched learning experiences, and whose teaching styles reflect our Fraternity's goals and mission.

Nominees do not have to be Greek (or even women, for that matter). The choice is up to each chapter to define "outstanding." Winners, and the winning chapters, will be notified September 1 and again in the Winter 2012-13 issue of The Kappa Alpha Theta Magazine.

Put your chapter and your campus on the road to recognition with your submission today!

Joan Hastings Kreiger, Chi/Syracuse, is ritual committee chairman for Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity and a charter member of Theta Life Loyal.
