National Panhellenic Conference

What Is NPC?
National Panhellenic Conference, founded in 1902, is an umbrella organization for 26 national and international women's fraternities and sororities. Each member group is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women and alumnae. Members are represented on more than 670 campuses in the United States and Canada and in more than 3,800 alumnae associations, making up nearly 5 million sorority women in the world.

Recruitment
Release Figure Methodology
Release Figure Methodology (RFM) calculates release figures (now known as carry figures) used during formal recruitment. RFM is designed to provide more realistic expectations to potential new members (PNMs) going through recruitment, to assist all NPC groups on a campus in meeting quota, and to maximize the percentage of PNMs who begin new member programs. RFM is being used on more than 420 campuses now, with more being added every year.

Values-Based Recruitment
Values-based recruitment is a proven way to recruit members who exemplify our values and are interested in joining the Greek community to enrich the college experience through achieving personal excellence. By incorporating values into recruitment, our chapters focus on executing recruitment events that accurately portray both the benefits and obligations of membership. This allows potential new members (PNMs) to get a realistic sense of what membership in Kappa Alpha Theta means during the college experience and beyond. Values-based recruitment results in members who join our organization due to genuine, authentic connections. Visit the Recruitment Information page for more information.

Alumnae Panhellenics
An alumnae Panhellenic is a community-based organization, affiliated with NPC, whose membership is composed of representative alumnae from NPC member group fraternities.

Something of Value
Something of Value is a values-based risk management program created by NPC and is a unique opportunity for sorority women to change campus culture.
