Chapter Beginnings
In 1972, The University of North Florida opened its doors to more than 2,000 students. Thirty-five years later, when Eta Omicron Chapter was installed in 2007, enrollment at North Florida had increased eight-fold. The university—located halfway between Jacksonville and the Atlantic Ocean beaches of Florida—is home to a large and diverse student body. The chapter closed in 2022.

From the very beginning, Theta alumnae have distinguished themselves in their careers and their volunteer endeavors. In fact, some are so well-known that they’re household names, and many have the distinction of being the first women in their professional fields.
