In 1870, four young women attending Indiana Asbury College banded together to form Kappa Alpha Theta. By establishing the first Greek-letter fraternity for women, they defied centuries of rules and tradition. Today, their legacy lives on. From senators to Grammy award-winning musicians to global and social philanthropists, Kappa Alpha Theta’s vast membership continues to be comprised of dynamic, impactful women. Together, Thetas share the values of personal excellence, scholarship, service, leadership, and best of all, friendship. Together, Thetas support one another and the communities around them. When you join Kappa Alpha Theta, you become part of a network of women willing to take the lead, open new doors, and blaze new trails.
