Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation Programs
Founded in 1960, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational tax-exempt organization. Theta Foundation's mission is to secure and manage resources for the educational, leadership, and philanthropic programs of the Fraternity and for the scholastic, professional, and service pursuits of its members to help them reach their fullest potential and make a difference in the world.
Created by Thetas for Thetas, Theta Foundation is dedicated to partnering with individuals and college and alumnae chapters for fundraising efforts to support Thetas with scholarships, non-degree educational and leadership grants, and the Fraternity’s educational and leadership programs.
Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation is proud to support collegian and alumnae members of the Fraternity with merit-based and need-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate study. Theta Foundation annually awards more than $550,000 to help Theta’s leading women in pursuit of the highest scholarship.Chapter and Individual Grants
Theta Foundation provides grants to individual collegian and alumnae Thetas and chapters to help them build the skills necessary to make a real, positive difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. Theta Foundation grants have funded non-degree educational, leadership, and service-learning programs on six of seven continents and are making a difference for sisters and the communities they impact around the world.Fraternity Programs
Theta Foundation annually partners with the Fraternity to support educational, leadership, and charitable programming through the Fraternity Grant. Typically more than $500,000 each year, this is the Foundation’s single largest grant, supporting programs that have the potential to impact each member of the Fraternity and providing training, education, resources, and support to benefit the overall well-being of Theta women and their pursuit of the widest influence for good. Programs supported by the Fraternity Grant include the Educational Leadership Consultants, Fraternity archive, leadership development, and Sisters Supporting Sisters.
