Chapter Dues
The Fraternity’s first rule of financial management is that every chapter is self-supporting. Money management is each chapter’s responsibility. Each college chapter decides its own dues, which are incorporated into the chapter bylaws. The dues are set to include chapter expenditures such as supplies, events, sisterhood activities, Panhellenic dues, chapter programs, and other budgeted items. All finances are handled by the college chapter vice-president finance. Each chapter benefits from the help of an alumna financial advisor and a finance district director who serves on the district team and works with other college chapters in their district.
No Assessment Policy
Kappa Alpha Theta does not allow any assessments of its members. All chapter programs are covered by the chapter treasury. This means that each chapter is responsible for its own budget, and members know that they will not be called upon for extra funds to finance chapter activities.
Facility Fee
The facility fee is a one-time fee paid by each member of the Fraternity to her local facility corporation. This fee should be paid in accordance with the established schedule set forth by the facility corporation.
Foundation Scholarships
All Thetas are eligible to apply for Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation scholarships to assist them in their academic pursuits.
