The Greek World
What is NPC?
National Panhellenic Conference, founded in 1902, is an umbrella organization for 26 national and international women’s fraternities and sororities. Each member group is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women and alumnae. Members are represented on more than 620 college and university campuses in the United States and Canada and in more than 4,600 alumnae associations, making up more than 3.8 million sorority women in the world.
Recruitment
Release Figure Methodology
Release Figure Methodology (RFM) calculates release figures (now known as carry figures) used during formal recruitment. RFM is designed to provide more realistic expectations to potential new members (PNMs) going through recruitment, to assist all NPC groups on a campus in meeting quota, and to maximize the percentage of PNMs who begin new member programs. RFM is being used on more than 285 campuses now, with more being added every year.
