What is happening at District
Leadership Conference?

The conference provides education and
training in a variety of leadership, personal
development, and Theta-specific programs
that are valuable to collegians and alumnae alike. You'll enjoy sharing ideas, having fun, and making new Theta friends from your district.
Who should attend?
From each college chapter, the president, VPF, VPE, VPA, VPD, VPPH, VPPR, and VPM will attend. Programming for alumnae chapter officers is NOT included in the conferences.
Should we send outgoing or new officers to DLC?
It is very important that your chapter send new officers to District Leadership Conferences. These officers must be slated prior to the December 14, 2007 deadline.
We will have elected our new officers; however, we will not be able to do CLW prior to the conference.
It is most important for your chapter to have newly elected officers attending the conference. If your chapter is unable to schedule CLW prior the conferences, make sure it is scheduled for shortly thereafter.
How much do I pay?
If you are the college chapter president, VPF, VPE, VPA, VPD, VPPH, VPPR, or VPM, all of your expenses have already been paid by your chapter. For other attendees, the conference full-time fee of $240 includes registration, a two-night hotel stay in a double room, materials, and meals (Friday snack and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Advisors may choose to attend Saturday at a cost of $130, which includes the registration fee, lunch, and dinner. This option does not include a hotel room. (College programming begins on Friday, so the Saturday-only option is not available to collegians.)
When do I need to register?
The registration deadline is December 14, 2007. Your hotel arrangements will be made for you from information provided on the registration form, so it is important that you adhere to this deadline. Any registrations received after the deadline will incur a $50 late fee. Registration will no longer be available for the DLCs on Monday, January 7, 2008.
How will I know that I'm registered?
You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail.
What if I need to cancel?
All requests for cancellations must be in writing in order to receive a refund.
If you are one of the eight officers from the executive board who is expected to be there and are unable to attend, please contact your CDP for approval of your substitute. All executive board officer substitutes must be registered by December 14, 2007, to avoid the $50 late fee. Registration will close for the District Leadership Conferences on Monday, January 7, 2008.
If you are an advisor or an additional chapter officer and are interested in sending someone in your place, all substitutions must be registered by Monday, January 7, 2008. All registrations will be refunded less a $20 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after Monday, January 14, 2008.
What should I wear?
Leadership conference is going to be an exciting learning experience for you! On Friday, plan to wear your favorite Theta T-shirt or sweatshirt. On Saturday, plan to wear business casual during the day and for dinner. No jeans or sweats on Saturday, please.
