Theta Foundation awarded its first scholarships in 1962. Based on Theta’s records, the total amount awarded that year was a mere $5,500. This year, the total amount being awarded to Theta members is a whopping $1,101,175. This is a record-breaking feat, not only due to the sheer amount of dollars, but also in the number of Thetas benefiting: 448 recipients.
