Last month, Theta Foundation released its 2020-2021 Scholarship & Grant Impact Report. As you flip through its pages, you’ll quickly see the significant impact that Theta Foundation scholarships and grants make. Since the first scholarships were awarded in 1962, Theta Foundation has been a leader in the Greek community in making a difference for members pursuing degree programs and/or experiential learning opportunities.

In 2021, 326 Theta members and four Theta chapters received more than $850,000 in grant and scholarship funding from Theta Foundation.

Theta’s most prestigious scholarships—the Founders Memorial Scholarships—awards $12,000 each to the top four junior applicants each year. Read more about this year’s four recipients on the Theta website.

Soon after the notifications were sent earlier this year, Theta Foundation received several notes from recipients expressing gratitude for their awards. Below are just a couple among the group.

  • Chloe Cantu, Gamma Chi/Fresno State, is one of the hundreds of Thetas receiving a Theta Foundation scholarship. Majoring in biochemistry, the first-generation college student’s plans after graduation are to become a bilingual healthcare physician. She says of her Theta scholarship, “(It) will allow me to not only maintain focus on my studies but also contribute to my community through philanthropy, volunteer work, and service to my chapter as an officer.” Her words emphasize what Theta Foundation’s scholarship program does to support members throughout their collegiate years.
  • Brooke Donelson, Beta Sigma/SMU, received a Theta Foundation grant to cover the costs for her online Prosci Change Management certification. She says, “I’m very thankful to Theta Foundation for its support and lifelong commitment to continuous development of our sisters. Even post-graduation, it is inspiring to know that there is a group of strong women who support my own personal and professional growth, and for that I am incredibly humbled and grateful.” With her grant, Brooke plans to enhance her work as a consulting analyst by learning about the methodology of effectively managing change and enhancing project results.

Theta Foundation is delighted to award these scholarships and grants to our members, helping them reach their fullest potential and make a difference in the world. We hope you will join us in congratulating these outstanding recipients on their incredible successes!
