April 2017 Archives News

April means spring and also the last push toward the end of the semester. Around the archives, we continue to push new content to the Heritage site.

One of our projects is adding more information to the Fraternity Presidents online exhibit, featuring all the leading women who have served as Fraternity president. Click on their portraits to learn more about them, including what chapters were established or re-established during their term and the national offices they served in over the years. The functionality is very flexible: search by name, chapter, school, or date.

I have added two blog posts this month. In the continuing series on Bettie and her family, one of the posts features Eulalia Hamilton Hartley, Bettie's youngest daughter. In relation to our special exhibit on Bettie and her family, we are pleased to extend its availability to the end of May. If you are in Indianapolis, please do not hesitate to contact HQ to schedule a visit.

My other blog relates to women’s history month, in particular, to recognizing several of outstanding Thetas in business. As always, additional #leadingwomen can be found in Notable Thetas.

Keep checking back at the Heritage site as we continue to add new material. Let us know if you have a topic you would like to see covered on the site at archives@kappaaalphatheta.org.
