December 2017 Archives News

I’ve reached that “I can’t believe its already December” and “How did 2017 go by so fast” state of mind. In the midst of the end-of-year festivities, semester finals, and general all-around craziness, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to follow up on some the new content on the Heritage site and explore some of the existing resources.

As far as new content, check out this year’s archives intern Elle Benak’s follow-up blog post to her Magazine article on Theta notable Agnes DeMille, Beta Xi/UCLA. A noted choreographer, DeMille is considered a revolutionary force in American dance. Elle’s blog post provides links to footage of interviews of DeMille, as well as dances she choreographed. It’s a fascinating look into De Mille’s work. You can also view the article under Resources/Magazine articles.

One thing I do notice at this time of year is a slight uptick in donations of items to the archives. I welcome the donation of papers, photographs, scrapbooks, Theta jewelry, and other related items for the archives. These items help me tell the story of Theta. For more information about donating materials to the Theta archives, check out the information on donations.

And be sure to visit the Heritage site in the new year as there will be some great new content and resources added during 2018.
