The Kappa Alpha Theta 35 Under 35 Award recognizes young alumnae under age 35 for their accomplishments after college. This award, now in its fifth cycle, is presented in non-Grand Convention years.
Those who are selected for this award are chosen because of their dedication to improving lives and creating change in their professions and/or communities. This year, 82 nominations were reviewed by 36 previous 35 Under 35 Award recipients who thoughtfully considered each one until 35 finalists were chosen. I received glowing feedback from this year’s reviewers who commented on how impressive this year’s group of nominees are, and how challenging it was to select only 35 recipients.
This year’s winners excel in the areas of science, engineering, medicine, business, philanthropy, and government, among many others. I am so energized by seeing how our alumnae continue to break barriers and chart new courses to improve our world. These members are truly outstanding representatives of Kappa Alpha Theta.
As a staff member, this is one of my favorite programs to oversee. I know you will be as amazed and proud to count these members among our membership as I am.
