These are just a few of the dozens of heartfelt responses we receive each year from our sisters in need after they are given funds from the Friendship Fund. As Thetas well know, the Friendship Fund provides gifts to Thetas experiencing extreme financial hardship due to serious or terminal illness, job loss, natural disasters, or other devastating occurrences. For 95 years, a gift to the Friendship Fund has made all the difference to hundreds of Thetas. Each recipient’s identity and amount given is kept confidential out of respect for that member’s privacy.
Each Founders Day, Thetas across the globe are asked to contribute $1 for every year of their membership in Kappa Alpha Theta to support the Fund. Donations are typically collected at Founders Day celebrations hosted by chapters, but due to the pandemic, virtual events have made this more of a challenge. To overcome that obstacle, we have created an online form for members to easily donate. On the form, you can also indicate if your contribution should be credited to your alumnae chapter.
