NPC Board of Directors Announced

Congratulations to former Fraternity President Laura Ware Doerre, Delta Xi/North Carolina, who was elected to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Board of Directors! Under NPC’s new organizational structure and governance model, the new directors were nominated by their member organizations and elected by NPC’s Council of Delegates. Beginning their service on July 1, board members will lead NPC and have authority and responsibility for overseeing the affairs of NPC. They will establish corporate policy, set strategy for the Conference, oversee and secure resources, and monitor organizational performance.

The Council of Delegates comprises one representative from each of NPC’s 26 member organizations and has primary responsibility for Conference membership and Panhellenic policies. The seven members of NPC’s Board of Directors consists of five members elected to service by the Council of Delegates, and two directors appointed by their member organization (on a rotational basis). The NPC chairman is also elected by the Council of Delegates.

Rather than simply representing their own member organizations, Laura and her six fellow board members are representing all sorority women, working to set the strategic direction for the Conference and promoting NPC’s efforts to advance the sorority experience together.
