Laura Doerre, Delta Xi/North Carolina, was selected as one of Houston Business Journal’s Women in Energy Leadership honorees. Award recipients were judged on their career achievement in energy, contribution to company success, community involvement, and leadership. Applicants had to be based in the Houston area and employed in a leadership position at an energy company. Laura and the other honorees will be recognized at an event later this month.

Laura is vice president and general counsel at Nabors Industries Ltd., the world’s largest land-based drilling rig fleet and leading provider of offshore platform workover and drilling rigs in the U.S. and multiple international markets. She serves as president of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, and is a member of the Houston NW Alumnae Chapter.
