In April, we pause to celebrate Theta volunteers. They show up behind the scenes with steady encouragement, thoughtful guidance, and a lot of heart. Their support helps us live out Theta’s values and grow as leaders.
If you are a college chapter officer, this month is a perfect time to make appreciation visible. Here are a few simple ways to thank the volunteers who support your chapter:
- Introduce yourself (or reconnect). A quick hello goes a long way! When connecting with your advisor, share what you are excited about this semester and ask about her volunteer journey.
- Say “thank you” out loud. The simplest words can be the most meaningful. At your next meeting or check-in, acknowledge your advisor’s impact: “Thank you for being here, we could not do this without you.”
- Write it down. A short handwritten thank-you note can become something your advisor keeps for years. Consider making the activity a sisterhood event!
- Treat your advisor to coffee. A casual coffee (or tea!) chat is an easy way to build your relationship and say thanks.
Even the smallest gesture can make a big difference. Advisors give their time, wisdom, and encouragement because they believe in Theta, and most importantly, they believe in YOU!
To every Theta volunteer, thank you!
