We’re thrilled to share that Theta’s marketing and communications efforts were recognized with TWO first-place awards at the 2019 Fraternity Communications Association Annual Conference, held last week in Columbus, Ohio. This annual awards celebration honors outstanding communications work in the fraternity and sorority community, and the competition is intense. With 54 member organizations compiling more than 800 award submissions for 25 categories, it’s a huge honor for Theta to take home two first-place awards. FCA’s judges, a team composed of dozens of veteran marketing industry professionals, awarded Theta “Best Inter/National Website” for kappaalphatheta.org and “Excellence in Digital Integrated Marketing” for the Women Supporting Women campaign.
Regarding the Women Supporting Women campaign, the judges commented, “This was a well-executed campaign from strategy down to design communication. I enjoyed the honest and strategic design and felt the authentic spirit of the campaign. Showcasing real women with personas to connect to was a nice touch. It shows they understand there are all types of personalities within their community and they tried to connect to as many of them as possible. The sense of inclusion and ‘women supporting women’ really comes through. Well done."
And regarding the website, they said, "Beautiful. Inviting. Happy. Successful. Confident." “Very, very nice. Feels very ‘today;' as far as design, messaging, use of video, clean animated headlines populating on interior pages and works nicely on mobile devices. I feel the brand they are portraying. Lots of very good choices here."
