It is not uncommon to do a year-in-review or a top-ten-things-that-happened type of post in December. While the archives has been busy preparing for Theta’s 150th, there have been a few other things going on in the archives.

  • One of our biggest projects this year was the redesign of the heritage content on the website. We looked at how the previous content was accessed by you and reimagined how we could present this content. I think that you will find navigation is easier and information is easier to find. I look forward to continuing to add content!
  • I know that many of you join us for Live from the Theta Archives on Instagram Stories each week. If you have not had the chance to see it yet, check it out sometime! Each story is posted on Thursdays, about midday Eastern time. Topics in 2019 have included chapter officers, Theta badges, Thetas in World War II, outer space and Thetas … both fun and serious coverage of Theta’s rich history. I am looking forward to filming more stories in 2020.
  • The archives continues to receive materials from our members and their families. I encourage you to consider sharing your Theta items with the archives. Each piece helps us tell the story of Theta. We welcome documents, publications, photographs, scrapbooks, and other artifacts. If you have questions, please contact me.

Stay connected and check back often. Guess what – the “sesqui” party is about to begin!
