The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) has recognized Mandy Womack as the recipient for this year’s Robert H. Shaffer Award. She will be presented with the award at the AFA Annual Meeting in Boston on December 3. Mandy has served AFA in numerous volunteer roles over the years, and in 2010, she was also honored with AFA’s Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award.

Mandy is the director of student leadership and engagement at the University of San Diego, where she promotes health and wellness initiatives, authentic engagement, self-care, and healthy relationships. She has more than 20 years of experience working in higher education.

Mandy has also served Theta in many ways since her undergraduate years, from holding positions on the advisory boards for Gamma Sigma/San Diego State, Gamma Rho/UC Santa Barbara, and Eta Iota/San Diego Chapters; and Fraternity offices including membership district director and member orientation committee chairman. She is a member of the San Diego Alumnae Chapter.
