In March, Sara was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Florida by Ms. Wheelchair Florida Inc., an organization that provides opportunities for female wheelchair users to advocate for those living with disabilities. The competition is based on advocacy, achievement, communication and presentation. The winner serves to educate and advocate for more than 54 million Americans living with disabilities. Later this month, Sara will compete in the Ms. Wheelchair America competition in Des Moines, Ia.

Aside from her membership in Eta Omicron/North Florida, she is an honors student, a member of three honor societies, belongs to the Rotaract service club, and serves as the vice president of internal programming for the University of North Florida’s Presidential Envoys Student Alumni Association. She is also a community outreach assistant for the Disability Resource Center at UNF.

Sara will be a senior in the fall, and is majoring in health administration.
