Louise was selected as the 2018 recipient of the Chief Judge Robert M. Bell Award for Outstanding Contribution to Alternative Dispute Resolution in Maryland, her home state. Her trailblazing work in the early years of dispute resolution in Maryland opened the door for many programs and practitioners of today.
Louise established Baltimore Mediation in 1993 as the first mediation firm in Maryland with all services from a transformative approach. She also co-authored a book with her husband, William, titled Being Relational: The Seven Ways to Quality Interaction and Lasting Change (2015). The book discusses the effect that interaction with others can have on your well-being.
