Think Theta and Always Wear Pearls

When I was a senior in college, my parents attended my senior brunch, and my stepmom, a Theta, said a few words about how special it is that we share this Theta connection and her hopes for my future. At the end of her speech, she reminded me to “Think Theta and always wear pearls.” My badge with a pearl border is the epitome of her sentiments.

I went to the University of Connecticut and am proud to be a Husky. The four points of the kite are navy blue as a tribute to my alma mater. This made my badge the perfect “something blue” for my wedding this past September. Five of my six bridesmaids were Thetas. Each of them also wore their badges as a reminder of how our friendships began.
