Starlight Walk Raises More Than
$4,000 for CASA

July 9, 2010 - On Friday, June 25, more than 500 Thetas and special guests took a nighttime walk to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates of Pima County, Arizona. The first-ever Starlight Walk for CASA took place in conjunction with Grand Convention 2010 at the JW Marriott Starr Pass in Tucson.

Robin Jameson McGraw, Omicron/USC, a long-time supporter of CASA and a goodwill ambassador for the Dr. Phil Foundation, served as the walk’s honorary leader. "Phil and I do this for the kids," McGraw told participants. "I am honored to be a part of Theta’s exemplary commitment to CASA and supporting kids everywhere who need a voice in court to obtain a safe home."

Since 1989, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation has provided more than $900,000 in grant support to National CASA. In addition, each year, college and alumnae chapters host fund-raisers to support their local CASA chapters. These events raise tens of thousands of dollars annually to support CASA's work.
